On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, Morris-Jenkins is hosting a career fair for the trades. And this is for ALL experience levels! If you’ve never had a job in the trades and you didn’t go to school for it but you love to learn and you want a job that lets you help people and work with your hands, you’d be a good fit for Tech Builder or Build-a-Plumber. If you’re an experienced HVAC technician, plumber, or electrician, we’d also love to see you at the career fair!

What to Expect
You’ll be interviewing, so come ready! If you have experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, that’s great! If not, that’s ok, too. We’d love to hire experienced people, but we’re also looking for people to join our January Tech Builder and Build-a-Plumber classes. These are PAID training opportunities where you’ll work with some of the best in the industry to become a full-fledged HVAC technician or plumber. And when you graduate, we’ll hire you full-time!
We’ll be giving out job offers THAT DAY. So, this really could be your chance to start fresh!

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the person is frequently required to move about at customers’ homes inside tight crawlspaces and ascend/descend ladders lifting one’s own bodyweight through narrow entrances into attics. Must be able to identify and inspect equipment, parts, and colored wiring to safely test, repair, and install electrical connections with precise hand-eye motor skills.
Mental Demands: Must be able to perceive and distinguish emotions, as well as deal with adversarial confrontations. Requires an ability to concentrate and prioritize multiple tasks at once. Conscious attention to detail is required to safely perform tasks.
Work environment: Frequently requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and other hazards such as electrical shock, sharp objects, poisonous animals, etc. This job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by company policy.
