The Short Version

  • We’re located in Charlotte, North Carolina

You have some experience in accounting. In fact, you even have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance! Your work experience has provided you a solid foundation, but you know there’s room to grow (and you’re excited about it!). You know Excel like the back of your hand, and you’re proficient at Microsoft Word and Outlook.

You’re looking for something with work-life balance. You found it! If you’ve ever worked somewhere with demanding and unreasonable hours, you know how valuable personal time is. We get that! This is a full-time position. Accounting is your talent and your passion, but it’s not your entire life. You can expect to work a standard 40-hour work week. What to Expect

As our Staff Accountant:

  • You’ll assist with month-end close
  • You’ll post daily cash transactions and report daily cash flow
  • You’ll complete reconciliations of key balance sheet and P&L accounts, as well as bank and credit card reconciliations
  • You’ll be responsible for recurring and adjusting journal entries
  • You'll make $50-$60k/yr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Staff Accountant experience with a focus on cash reconciliations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledgeable about application of GAAP standards
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Positive attitude and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain consistent, timely and accurate processes
  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Highly detail orientated
  • You must possess the ability to successfully work independently and accurately with limited supervision
  • Fluent ability to read, write, and speak in the English language

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position, over 90% of time.  Constantly operates a computer, 10 key pad, mobile phone, and other office equipment.

Mental Demands:  Must be able to perceive and distinguish emotions in telephone conversations, as well as deal with adversarial confrontations.  Requires an ability to concentrate and prioritize multiple tasks at once.  Ability to deal with occasional stressful situations, making prudent decisions in adherence to company values.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the noise level is usually low.  Must maintain strict confidentiality with both employer and customer information.
