Overview

You’re tired of being bored at work. You want excitement, a fun team that supports you, and puzzles that keep you thinking every day. This is the perfect position for you!

How would you like to be our newest Dispatcher?

Your Role

As a Dispatcher:

  • You’ll research tickets and customer accounts. This job is like playing a game of chess. There’s a perfect piece for each move, and you’ve got a strategy! You’ll make sure to gather as much info as needed to put the right tech with each job.
  • You’ll work with customers to make sure they’re taken care of. Sometimes, this is just giving them a little courtesy call, other times, it’s emailing or texting to schedule part installations.
  • You’ll assign techs to jobs. Once you’ve gathered information, you’ll assign techs to the perfect jobs for them. It’s all about maximizing opportunities! You’ll be the one to let them know where they’re headed next.
  • You’ll manage capacity to make sure we can help as many customers as possible. You’ll make sure the scheduling board is filled as efficiently as possible for same-day and future appointments.
  • You’ll scan the scheduling board to make sure we’re not missing anything! Whether we’re behind schedule or overlooking important details, you’ll keep a close watch on the board and keep your teammates informed.

Responsibilities

Other Highlights of the Job

  • Work on a team where everyone is moving in the same direction! You love getting wins as a team, and you enjoy working together with others.
  • Have the freedom to think outside the box. This job isn’t for people who like repetition and mind-numbing tasks. This job can get fast-paced in the busy season, and you should be able to get creative to make the scheduling board as efficient as possible!
  • No two days are the same! If you’re tired of your old, boring job, this is the position for you! Every day comes with new calls and new challenges to master.
  • Our dispatch team keeps busy, but they’re the ones that work the true magic! When people in the Carolinas are having the worst day ever and everything seems wrong with their heating, cooling, plumbing, or electrical, dispatch makes sure they’re taken care of by the perfect technician ASAP. Thankfully, you’re good at making quick and strategic judgment calls.
  • Morris-Jenkins has won Top Workplace awards over and over!
