How would you like to be our new Fleet Manager?

 

Your Role

You’re an independent person who knows how to get things done.

As Fleet Manager:

  • You’ll manage a fleet of over 450 vehicles. Our fleet is always growing!
  • You’ll coordinate vehicle inspections and maintenance. You’ll be the one to make sure preventative maintenance, vehicle inspections, and registrations are taken care of and up to date!
  • You’ll coordinate new vehicle deliveries. There’s a lot that goes into getting vehicles here to Morris-Jenkins! They have to get the signature Morris-Jenkins design wrapped on them, then they move to the place that installs our cameras, then to a company that installs the shelving for supplies. All before they reach us! You’ll communicate to get these things done and make sure the trucks are in shape when they get here.
  • You’ll coordinate all vehicle movement. You’ll work with multiple departments to make sure vehicles have the correct upfits and are wrapped properly. You’ll also coordinate with our fleet inventory team to make sure vehicles are stocked with the right parts for the right people.
  • You’ll take care of reports for our fleet. You’ll manage and organize reports for speed alerts, gas usage, toll charges, accident reports, and more.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in managing a motor vehicle fleet
  • Proven experience working independently, taking initiative, and managing multiple responsibilities and tasks collaboratively with team members as needed.
  • Valid local driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Acceptable criminal background record.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Attentive listening skills, sharp memory, strong organizational skills, and proactive execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Alignment with company values, including honesty, integrity, and fairness.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience coordinating a motor vehicle fleet
  • Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures.
  • Prior knowledge of DOT standards and regulations.
  • Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent additional experience.
